This page is dedicated to all the men and women who help those in need of immediate assistance, answer phones, talk to "walk ins," and so much more. Thank You Dispatchers, everywhere! Active and Retired.

I have many pages posted representing our dedicated men and women in Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and EMS. Our son is in Law Enforcement and I listen to the "Scanner" each day. I have learned to know the voices behind "The Mic." The Dispatcher! These are well trained Professionals that must have tact, a trained ear, take control of all situations-regardless of how trivial or how serious. Good dispatchers do this, while oft times suffering the abuse and anger of a "caller." A dispatcher has to handle multiple calls, but yet must handle each one as though it is the only one. They must retrieve information for a police officer on a stopped vehicle-giving information as to driver, car, etc. Dispatcher's jobs include getting Rescue Personnel en route to a motor vehicle accident. Meanwhile the dispatcher must get all the information from the 'callers' about the accident, number of persons injured, location of accident, etc., and still keep a very calm and even temper. The hours are long and they work under unpredictable stress. I am very proud of our Dispatchers here in our state and everywhere! I know they are often the lifeline to a police officer needing "backup." I know that they shed a tear for Fallen Officers, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Personnel. A very stressful job, to say the least!
          DISPATCHERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
