Have you ever wondered 'bout St. Peter's Gate?
Do you think there's a line? Will we have to wait?
I visualize beauty that words can't express!
And no one will look at my poor tattered dress!

If a line's at the Gate, Oh won't it be grand?
Hugging our brethren and shaking their hand.
We all must return, from whence we have come,
What joyful singing and some may just hum.

St. Peter will call if our name's in The Book,
              Won't it be great as we, in awe, look;
For a Mother or Father, a Daughter or Son?
Those who were crippled, on earth, will now "Run."

Will Heaven's streets be paved with much gold?
Overwhelmed, I will be, for so much to behold!
I'll bow at my Savior's feet and be blessed,
Just to know I served and did past the "test"!

If the line is long and I have to wait,
I'll be happy for all who've reached that great Gate!
A ‘Return Line’ to Heaven? Why not my friend?
God knew us before, to this earth, He did send!

No more grief, no more pain, no more tears; what a day!
Holding hand's with God's angels as we bow to pray.
Oh yes, 'The Return Line' where I know we will see,
Our family and friends who've gone back, before we!

I hope I'll see you there, and if the line's long,
Let us plan on singing a great Gospel song!
Praising Our Lord, so happy we're home,
"Heaven's Return" line. Back where we came from!
