I sit here, dear friend, and tears stain my face,
As I’ve learned you’ve gone “Home” to that beautiful place.
Oh, that joyous moment when you did embrace,
Your sweet precious loved ones, and felt God’s promised grace.

Your e-mail so kind always asking ‘bout others,
The smile in your voice praising ‘sisters’ and ‘brothers.’

I stare at the phone and I know I’ll not hear,
That sweet, gentle voice, that was oh, so sincere.
But, the memories we have we will always hold dear.
On clear starry nights we will know you are near.
We will see you in colors of sunsets so clear.

We will hear you, kind friend, in the soft falling rain,
In white puffy clouds we will sense your domain.

Oh how we’ll miss you with each passing day,
But the love that we’ve shared will forever stay.
Sadness engulfs me as I write this today,
Yet, somehow I know you are not far away.

The breeze softly passes; we feel its sweet sigh,
It’s then, our dear friend, that we *know* you’ve passed by.

This page is in memory of our dear and gentle friend, Alvin Scoggin. Oh, how he will be missed by so many.

He would call us often, and to "hear" the smile in his voice was so uplifting.

To Alvin's sister-in-law, Connie; Alvin's son, Gary; Alvin's daughter, Sherry and son-in-law, Kevin; Alvin's niece, LaDonna {Tootsie to Alvin} and her husband, Charlie; and Alvin's sister-in-law, Annie, we extend our deepest sympathy.

To Alvin's full sister and brother, Lucille and Elmer; and Alvin's half-brothers and half-sister: Harold, Sherman, Joe, and Louise; our deepest sympathy is also extended to them and their families.
